A STUDY ON ELECTRICAL CONDUCTIVITY OF DYSPROSIUM SOAPS IN METHANOL
Dysprosium valerate and caproate behave as weak electrolyte in dilutesolutions. The critical micelle concentrations (CMC) of dysprosium soaps in methanol have been determined by cunductometric measurement. The value of CMC decreases with increasing chainlength of fatty acid component. The molar conductances at infinite dilution and degree of ionizationhave been evaluated. The result show that dysprosium soaps behave as weak electrolyte in the dilute solution.
