Theoretical Analysis of Spectral Selective Transmission Coating for Solar Energy PV System
Spectral selective transmission coating can adjust the spectrum of solar radiation incident on the solar cells and improve solar photovoltaic conversion efficiency. The ideal spectral transmissivity of the coating should match the available spectrum range of solar cells, which means the spectral transmissivity should equal to 1.0 in the available spectrum range of solar cells and 0 in other spectrum range. On the basis of the internal mechanism of spectral selective coating and the interaction between light and materials, the radiative properties (including reflectivity, absorptivity and transmissivity) of real coatings are investigated and analyzed, which makes the spectral selective transmission coating for PV system can approach to the ideal one as much as possible.
