THEORETICAL AND EXPERIMENTAL EVALUATION OF THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY OF POLYIMIDE/SILICA COMPOSITE FILMS
Laser flash technique and differential scanning calorimeter are utilized to measure thermal diffusivity and specific heat of polyimide/silica composite films with different silica contents in temperature range 20~160 ℃. Common prediction models are employed and compared with measured thermal conductivity of composite films. Results show that thermal conductivity increases with the increase of silica content, and increases with temperature rise. Different models are evaluated and the Sorin model considering filler size distribution fits better with experimental data.
