COMPARATIVE STUDY OF SOME SCALING MODELS OF THE SATURATION PRESSURE

Some group of equations those describe the saturation pressure Ps is investigated in the report. We have started with models suggested by Xiang and Tan (1994) and Wu et al. (2008). The examples both have a good agreement with experimental data and an excellent extrapolation behavior. A few fitting coefficients are used in the models. A model of Wagner (1973) and a model of Ustjuzhanin et al. (2007) are discussed in the work. The two equations include scaling and regular parts. A structure of the scaling part is chosen dew to the scaling theory of critical phenomena. A modified Wu model is elaborated. We have tested and compared the models in similar border conditions. They are connected with such substances as the methane, the methanol and the ether HFO-1234yf. Input (Ps k,Tk)exp -data sets are selected for a statistical treaty to get fitting parameters X (amplitudes et al.) those are involved in the models. These (Ps k,Tk)exp -data are placed in a wide temperature interval Tlow…Thigh including the critical region. The first and the second derivatives of Ps are determined with the help of the models. A comparison of the functions is fulfilled in a wide relative interval: τlow…τhigh=0.0001…0.5 or from the critical temperature Tc down to the triple point temperature Ttr. Numerical data on Ps as well as those on the first and the second derivatives are got in the critical region.
