MASS DIFFUSION COEFFICIENTS OF DIMETHYL CARBONATE AND HEPTANE BINARY MIXTURES IN AIR
With increase pollution of the diesel engines, more works were encouraged to research on the clean alternatives or additives of diesel, the oxygenated fuel additives were included and have being used to reduce the effect of the emissions of diesel engine, but only a few experimental data of thermophysical properties of oxygenated fuel additives have been reported. For the measurement of mass diffusion coefficient, which is an important thermophysical parameter, an experimental apparatus based on real time digital image holographic interferometry technique was established which can be used to measure the mass diffusion coefficient of,liquid in liquid and liquid in gas and the absolute average of relative deviations with this apparatus is within 1.20 % as reported before(ECTP, 2008). In the present work, the mutual mass diffusion coefficients of dimethyl carbonate+heptane mixtures with different mass fractions in air were measured at T=(278.15-338.15) K.
