An Agent-Based Simulation Model for Assessment of Intervention strategies of Influenza Pandemics
We proposed an agent-based model to describe the spread of influenza infection in an urban community. The model simulates the implementation of several interventions during an influenza pandemic. We examine the effects of these interventions on the spread of influenza infection.Simulations show interventions can reduce the attack rate, peak infection, and R0 of pandemic influenza as compared to a non-intervention baseline scenario.
