Effects of Aquasorb on Soil Moisture Maintaining and Nitrogen Leaching
Aquasorb has great effects on promoting soil moisture maintaining, reducing fertilizer leaching loss and improving fertilizer and water utilization efficiency. In this present study, an experimental method was adopted with the nitrogen treatment without aquasorb application as contrast check (CK). Comparison was done among three types of aquasorb (polyacrylic acid salts of aquasorb A, organic and inorganic compound aquasorb B, humic acid type multi functional aquasorb C) on the maintaining of soil moisture and two kinds of nitrogen (urea and ammonium nitrate) to chose reasonable combination of nitrogen and aquasorb. Results of 8 times soil leaching showed that all the three types of aquasorb had good influence on soil moisture maintaining and two kinds of nitrogen maintaining, but obviously the effects were not the same. On moisture maintaining, Aquasorb A was the best one, aquasorb B followed and aquasorb C came last. With numbers of watering increasing, effects of the three kinds of aquasorb were reduced. On nitrogen maintaining, aquasorb C was obviously better than CK and it was better to ammonium nitrate than urea. Aquasorb A has the great effect on urea leaching, but just has a little effect upon ammonium nitrate. But the condition for aquasorb B is the opposite. Additionally, aquasorb has certain influence on soil urease activity, and the change has something to do with transformation of nitrogen.
