Analysis the characteristics of rainfall, runoff and sediment in Chabagou watershed

According to the observation data, the characteristics and changing tendency of annual rainfall. runoff and sediment was analyzed systematically. At the same time, the temporal-spatial course of the rainstorm and correspondence sediment-runoff relations were analyzed too. The results showed that: (1) Annual rainfall, runoff and sediment distributed unevenly and the amount of runoff and sediment declined as a whole; (2) The storm centre and covering area was stochastic in the valley. All that resulted in complicated runoff and sediment process; (3) When the streamflow was slow. with the runoff increasing, the sediment concentration would increase too. But. when streamflow reaches a certain value. sediment content tends to a constant. All these results would provide scientific reference in valley fathering and programming.
