An Analysis of Cultivated Land Landscape Pattern Change Based on GIS in Zhuhai
Taking Zhuhai city in Pearl River Delta as a research object, in this paper the cultivated land spatial data was developed by using GIS based on MSS images in 1973, TM images in 1988, 1998 and 2008 and the topographic maps. After analyzing the change process and pattern indexes of the IandscapeS at different stages, the dynamic change of cultivated land landscapes in Zhuhai city since 1970s was revealed. The results showed that: the area of cultivated land had undergone a process of slowly increasing-dramatically reduced and per capita cultivated land had reduced continually from 1973 to 2008. The area of large path and its proportion showed a gradual decreasing tendency, while small path continuously increased. The degree of irregularity of boundary density, patch density, shape index, normalized shape index, fractal dimension and perimeter area of paddy field constantly increased at different stages, while the fractal dimension dry land was first increased and then decreased. Spatial distribution area of cultivated land gradually decreased from Xiangzhou district to Doumen district and Jinwan district. At the same time, the loss degree of cultivated land aggravated in the western regions.
