Study on the Mrater Quality of Bailong River Using Comprehensive Mrater Quality Identification Index
The water quality is now one of the key factors in the operation and water quality management of rivers. the comprehensive water quality identification index, which is a new tool for general water quality assessment of surface water, is applied to analyze the water quality of the surface waters of the Cold and Arid Regions. Five parameters were used for the quality assessment using this approach, including dissolved oxygen (DO), permanganate index, biological oxygen demand (BOD), NH3-N and total nitrogen (TN). Compared with other assessment methods, the method possesses convincing conclusions with very simple calculations. In the assessment of water quality of rivers provides a rather better new method, suggesting that the index is a valuable tool for the assessment of water quality. The results also revealed that most of the water quality data satisfy the demand of domestic purposes.
