Evaluation of forest ecosystem services value in the north semiarid area of Hebei province

The north area of Hebei province is located in the semi-arid to sub-humid transition zone belonged to the northern pastoral area. and the problem of land degradation is serious. This paper took the protective-timber forest ecosystem in the north semiarid area of Hebei province for an example, and the ecological economic values was evaluated using the State Forestry Administration industry standard of the peoples republic of(LY/T 1721-2008): Specification for assessment of forest ecosystem services in China. including water-holding, soil protection,C02 fixation and 07 release. air quality purifying, nutrients cycle, recreation and ecotourism. and so on forest ecosystem service functions. The results showed that the total values of forest ecosystem service function is reached to 5,791.1 75.01 million yuan, and is 5.72 percent in the GDP of Hebei province. Of which, about 2.940.887.07 million yuan for water-holding, 1,428.076.57 million yuan for C02 fixation and 02 release.873.697.80 million yuan for provisioning of habit. 271.935.25 million yuan for soil protection, 250.380.57 million yuan for nutrients cycle. 19.497.74 million yuan for air quality purifying, 6,700.00 million yuan for recreation and ecotourism. The total value of different countries service function is below: Fengning County> Longhua County>Weichang County>Chengde County> Chicheng County>Pingquan County>Luanping County> Chongli County > Shuangqiao County > Shuangluan County. The order of different forest type service value function unit area is below: Juglans mandshurica>Tilia> Birch > Willow > Elm > Chinese pine > Black locust > Prunus armeniaca > Acer mono maxim > Oak > Larch > Aspen > Chinese arborvitae > Scotch pine > Economic forest > Shrub. The evaluation of the forest ecosystem services value in the north semiarid area of Hebei province will provide a theoretical basis for the establishment of the ecological benefit compensation system and the forestry sustainable development.
