The Effect of Different Bulk Density and Thickness on the Infiltration of Coal Gangue Pile

The paper took coal gangue as study objection to study the infiltration law of coal gangue of ChangCun in Henan with the same bulk density under different thickness of soil cover and the same thickness under different bulk density and discuss the effect of different thickness and bulk density on the infiltration of coal gangue. The result shows that the infiltration rate decreases rapidly with the thickness of soil cover increasing, the infiltration rate in the depth of 10cm of coal gangue are 1.24, 2.52 and 2.63 times as many as the depth of 20, 30 and 40cm under the condition of bulk density of 1.35g/ cm3 and the infiltration rate of coal gangue with the bulk density of 1.20g/ cm3 are 2.60, 3.32 and 6.38 times as many as the coal gangue with bulk density of 1.25,1.35,1.45g/cm3 in the depth of 30cm. The time to reach steady infiltration increased rapidly with the increasing of the thickness of soil cover and bulk density. The study gets the infiltration model by the analysis and fitting of experimental data, initial infiltration rate is i0=13.26-0.09h-5.89 and steady infiltration rate is if=3.45-2.01r-0.01h.
