Species Biodiversity Response to Supplementary Irrigation in Desert Steppe
Water is a constraint limiting factor for grass production, in order to study the correlation between supplementary irrigation and species diversity of the desert steppe, small-scale supplementary irrigation accurate test was designed,and studied the relationship between plant species diversity and irrigation water. The results showed that: With the better water conditions, vegetation coverage and biomass increased significantly, simpson index, shannon-wiener index, pielou index and margalef index had all showed a increasing trend, shannon-wiener index increased from 1.12 to 1.28. which showed that biodiversity index was sensitive to water supply to some certain extent.
