Study on the Microbiotic soil crust physicochemical properties and the effects on Anti-Scourability in the Loess Area of Northern Shannxi Province

To investigate the soil and water conservation function of microbiotic soil crust in Loess areas, the physicochemical properties of microbiotic soil crust samples collected in WU-Qi were analyzed. The scouring the trough of experimental methods was used. The results show: (1)Microbiotic soil crust can reduce the soil pH value. (2)The average thickness of microbiotic soil crust can reach 3.67 mm, the coverage of crust was not higher than 30%; microbiotic soil crust composed of fine sand particles (0.05-0.01mm) and coarse silt (0.25-0.05mm).(3) Microbiotic soil crust had nutrients enrichment, except the available potassium content. Cu、Cr and Ca was the important factor to the distribution of microbiotic soil crust.(4) During the process of scouring, sediment concentration increased with scouring time, and decreased after microbiotic soil crust collapsed. No crust of soil erosion is 35 times as much as the crust covered.(5)pH value and microbiotic soil crust of sediment runoff showed a positive correlation.(6) Microbiotic soil crust had changed the soil sand, silt and clay content, and K value, which can impact the soil anti-erosion ability.
