Monte Carlo Simulation of Relative Permeability in Fractal Porous Media with capacity pressure difference effect
The relative permeability of fractal porous media is simulated which takes into account the capillary pressure difference effect by Monte Carlo technique in this work. Base on the fractal character of pore size distribution in porous media, the models for pore diameter and for relative permeability are developed which consider the capillary pressure difference effect. Taking the bi-dispersed fractal porous media as examples, the relative permeability calculations are performed by the Monte Carlo method. The results show that the simulations agree well with the existing fractal analytical solution and the available experimental data. The proposed simulation method may have the potential in prediction of other transport properties in fractal porous media.
