The Study of a Web-based Severe Accident Analysis Model Based on MAAP5

In this study an idea to enhance the capability of the MAAP code in the manner of popular information technology is presented. The idea was put into practice on a server in which the MAAP5 code is installed. The authorized users can access the MAAP5 to implement the severe accident analyses on the website. A postulated station blackout accident of the Maanshan nuclear power plant is exemplified to prove that the web-based severe accident analysis model can replicate the functions of MAAP5 code and users’ operations on a local computer. The simulation results are definitely identical to the calculations on a local computer due to no modification applied to the MAAP5 code.
