Study on the Atmospheric Diffusion Behavior of Radioactive Aerosol under Severe Accident Conditions
Using the Gaussian plume model, we could work over the atmospheric diffusion of kinds of radioactive aerosol releasing from the severe accident in the typical synoptic condition through programming the computer code, and assess objectively the distribution of the concentration of different radioactive aerosol and the intensity of its radioactive. The computer code also calculates the distance from the most concentration to the radioactive source. According to the basic standard of the ionizing radiation protection and the safety sources which rules the maximum radioactive amount received by human, the extent of the radioactive aerosol’s overage concentration, the maximum concentration of aerosol and the radioactive spot can be found out when the accident happens. As a result of the calculation and the analysis, the atmospheric diffusion character of the radioactive aerosol could be found which provides the feasible advice to mitigate the accident after the severe accident happened in the nuclear power plant
