Quality Assurance for RCM Implementation
Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) is widely used proven engineering tool in international industrial fields at present. The goal of RCM is to identify potential component failure modes, their consequences and determine the most cost-effective and applicable maintenance tasks to minimize the risk and impact of failure. Developing an effective RCM program will cost-effectively optimize the maintainability of the system, enhance system reliability and reduce the potential risk. The domestic research and application of RCM is a little late in China, however, presently more and more enterprises have begun to understand the RCM and used the technology to determine a reasonable requirements for equipment maintenance. RCM technique has been or is being introduced in several domestic nuclear power plants. But the effects of RCM analysis and application have been affected to some extent, due to lack of implementation experience. According to the RCM practices and experience in large-scale enterprises for many years, this paper focuses on the key points of every aspect to the RCM application in nuclear energy industries. As a result, some key points or suggestions for RCM implementation would be analyzed and proposed at quality assurance aspects. It is also a valuable reference for RCM applying and implementing in other enterprises
