Information Technology Supports Knowledge Building: Hierarchical Model and Effect Analysis
Knowledge building is a meaning making process with social negotiation and dialog, which needs a kind of complex learning technology system to support for. By design-based research for synergistic learning technology system, this paper describes the levels model and research method in the learning technology environment, and analyses the level and quality of knowledge building in the synergistic learning environment. This results show that knowledge building level is significant in the phases of information sharing and problem and ideas describing. This research can provide some advises with technological design and instructional design for the learning system framework.
