Texture Effect on The Performance of Iron Oxide Hot Gas Desulfurizer
Polystyrene beads with different diameters ranging from 10nm to 550nm were prepared by the method of soap emulsion polymerization and soap-free emulsion polymerization. These polystyrene beads were used as pore-forming materials to prepare iron oxide sorbent with different textural characters. The effects of texture on the performance of sorbents were investigated in a fixed bed reactor under the conditions of 500oC,2000 h-1,in simulated coal gas atmosphere. It was found that pore diameter had notable influence on the behaviors of desulfurization. The macropore around 200nm are more favorable to the performance of sorbents
