Study on Nox Formation Affected by Fuel Characteristics
In this paper,a 300MW coal-fired generating unit was studied. Two kinds of coal in common use were chose as typical fuel.Experimentations and numerical simulations were done to study the effects of coal on NOx formation. The results of experimentations and numerical simulations were similar. In elemental analysis, nitrogen content of coal 1 was 0.81%,coal 2 was 0.83%.However,the NOx formation of burning coal 1 was higher than that of burning coal 2.Although nitrogen content of coal 1 was more than that of coal 2,the nitrogen molecular fraction of coal 1(0.813%) was higher than that of coal 2 0.716%)
