Coal Pyrolysis under Simulated Coal-gas

In our previous work,a novel integrated process of coal pyrolysis and CO2 reforming of methane was performed and the tar yield of coal pyrolysis is improved evidently.In this paper,coal pyrolysis under simulated coal-gas (SCG) was carried out to investigate the effect of pyrolysis temperature,SCG flow rate and coal properties on tar and water yields.The results indicated that higher tar yield can be obtained when Shenmu coal is pyrolyzed.At 750 ℃,the tar yield under SCG with Ni/MgO catalyst is 23.8 wt.%,which is 1.2,1.8 and 2.9 times as that under SCG without catalyst,H2 and N2,respectively.And the water yield under SCG with Ni/MgO catalyst is 38.5 wt.%,representing 9.4,34.6 and 36.5 wt.% increment over that under SCG without catalyst,H2 and N2,respectively.When CO with the flow rate of 200 ml/min is added to SCG at 600 ml/min,the water yield under SCG without catalyst decreases by 5.6 wt.%
