Studies on the Sulfidation of Nickel Modified Nano Zinc Ferrite Desulfurization Sorbent
The advanced power generation systems (e.g.IGCC) require higher reactive and easier regenerable desulfurization sorbents, which are capable of removing H2S from coal gas to a very low level at about 200℃-350℃.A nickel modified nano zinc ferrite sorbent prepared by a sol-gel auto-combustion method has good sulfidation properties at middle-temperature.The effect of the particle size,H2S concentration and reaction temperature on the conversation of the nickel-modified zinc ferrite sorbent was investigated in a fixed bed reactor. The results show that higher H2S concentration, smaller particle size can promote the reaction. The sorbent has a better desulfurization performance at 300. Kinetic model tests show that the regeneration ℃ process can be well fitted by the equivalent grain model. It is suggested that the sulfidation of the sorbent is controlled by the diffusion through the reacted layers and the diffusion activation energy and pre-exponential factor are 45.48kJ/mol and 1.19×10-3m2/min,respectively
