Effect of Particle Size Distribution on Lignite Char Water Slurry
The lignite char obtained from the low temperature pyrolysis of Baiyinhua(BYH) lignite consists of low hydrophilic groups and is preferable for preparing char-water slurry. In this work, the effects of char mass and grinding time during preparation of feedstock and pyrolysis temperature on the properties of lignite char water slurry (LCWS) were investigated. The results showed that the particle size distribution of lignite char has an obvious effect on the LCWS properties. The particle size distribution changes with the grinding mass and time of char obtained by lignite pyrolysis at different temperatures. The high quality LCWS can be obtained with the lignite char from pyrolysis at 420 oC through 120 min grinding of 280 g lignite char, and the static stability of LCWS can reach over 25 days.Additionally, the particle size distribution of the chars from different pyrolysis temperatures is similar with the 280 g grinding mass and 120 min grinding time. And this grinding condition is feasible to other lignite chars
