Research Status and Development of Fault Diagnosis for Active Magnetic Bearings
Active magnetic bearings (AMB), a typical mechatronic product, have been successfully applied in industrial turbo machinery. Their main advantages are high speed, non-contact, no friction without lubrication, low noise, low power consumption, which give magnetic bearings broad application prospects. If magnetic bearings are to be applied to industry, the problems of condition monitoring and fault diagnosis must be solved. This paper analyzes the basic principles of fault diagnosis and fault diagnosis technology for rotating machinery, introduces the status quo of fault diagnosis for magnetic bearings, and proposes research directions and applications in the future.
