Equivalent long transmission line by Modified-T Model in Integrated Passive Component Processing
In this paper, Modified T equivalent circuit has been developed for impact the area of transmission line of PCB(Printed Circuit Board). Sometimes in order to tune phase, transmission line commonly occupies a large area which cant be easily decreased. To finish effective delay, PCB often need to draw a large section of transmission line. Conventional RLCG model of transmission line has been instead of Modified T equivalent circuit, which contains two series inductors, mutual inductor and grounded capacitors to perform the broadband electrical characteristic of long transmission line. The elements in this equivalent circuit model can be extracted directly from the S-parameters. The Modified T equivalent circuit use spiral inductance and capacitor to replace transmission line in integrated passive component processing. The area of the chip is 1.3mm*1.4mm.The chip can achieve 3cm transmission line of PCB. The chip can minimize the area 98%. With its extremely small area of chip, come to decrease the area of PCB board. The goals of the slight, thin and small product can be achieved.
