Dynamics analysis of bistable inductive micro-switch
Inductive micro-switch is a device. Its malfunctions of the “fail-to-closure and “transient-closure result in the low reliability and weak anti-jamming capability, In view of this, Based on the micro electro-mechanical system (MEMS) technology and micro size effect, a new bistable inductive micro-switch is presented in this paper. According to Navier-Stokes equation, we can induce that air damping coefficient changes with the gap between the contacts. Based on the dynamic theory electro-mechanical analysis, the Lagrange -Maxwells equations are founded. Input the step acceleration to trigger, simulation for micro-switch based on copper is made, we can get the threshold acceleration and the response time, and they are 24.95g and 33 m s. If the input is average acceleration, the threshold acceleration and the response time are 24.94g and 31ms respectively; a “double-snap-back phenomenon in the Off-state is discovered.
