Inventory Planning Model with Decision Flexibility for Raw Material Supply and its Genetic Programming Algorithm

The inventory control of raw material for process industry faces the risks of demand uncertainty and supply uncertainty. Combined economic cost with uncertainty risk produced in inventory process as the objective and constrained by process raw material demand, an optimal inventory plan is decided with non-predetermined order time and frequency. In the genetic programming algorithm, chain-structured individuals are adaptively designed to describe flexible order sequences. This approach is tested by a computational case and proved superior to order method with predetermined order time at cost and expected risks.
