A New Definition for Communication Connection and its Setup to Support a Resilient Network
With the development of network applications, resilience in a network is becoming more and more important, especially in design of next generation network. This paper proposes a new definition for network connection, i.e., Vector Network Connection (VNC), and its establishment method based on Vector Address. VNC is essential to resilience in networks in a cost-effective way. VNC is consisted of multiple communication paths and the operation of related paths information is performed by end systems instead of intermediate nodes to simplify the network. The characteristics of VNC enhance and improve the performance of network in various aspects.
