The Research on Behavior Analysis of Network Topic Diffusion
In this paper, a general model is proposed to explore the behavior of network topic diffusion. We exploit the concept of spread velocity to track the development of network topic diffusion, and establish differential equation that describes the speed of network topic spreading. The speed of network topic spreading indicates the level of its development and reflects its popularity over time. Experiments results show that the development of speed of network topic diffusion has certain regularity and our model matches the laws of reality. The proposed method is critical to reveal behavioral pattern of network topic diffusion and suitable for forecasting the development trend of network topic’s spread speed in short term.
