An iSPA Model Evaluation based on Critical Success Factors and Selected criteria to Support Malaysias SME Environment
This paper reports on the outcomes of evaluation recently conducted on Small Medium Enterprises (SME) in Malaysia with respect to a newly developed Software Process Improvement model called iSPA. It is conducted based on identified critical success Jactors for a software project to be successjul. Initially, the evaluation investigates on the core process and best practices for a software project management and implementation. It also looks at the Jeasibility and acceptability of software companies to achieve this model and ended up with a tool development. The evaluation findings indicate the acceptance towards a new SPI methodology and relevance of the prototype tool to mitigate and assist in SPI implementation in an organization.
