Representation and Evaluation of Statistical Prediction Powers of Neighboring Organ Shapes for Construction of Multi-Organ Statistical Atlas
Representation and evaluation methods for statistically predicting organ shapes from neighboring organ shapes are described. In order to fully utilize the constraints on interrelations of multiple organ shapes, various extents of sub-shapes of organs are considered based on their proximity instead of just using the whole organ shapes. The prediction power are evaluated for various extents of sub-shapes and enhanced by their integration. Experimental results using shape datasets of several organs in the abdominal domain demonstrate the effective of the proposed methods.
