RECOVERY AND REUSE OF FUEL AND MATERIALS FROM THE MEAT WASTE
Management system, based on integration of the materials and energetic stream results in modification of meat industry waste management would enable meat production waste free with use the cleaner production method. It will allow for example recovery and reuse as fuel of animal oil and meat-bone meal, recycling of blood plasma and protein hydrolisate from the meat waste and semi-products. The thermal processing of meat industrial waste (bone sludge, meat-bone meal and odor) is anticipated too. Ashes from meat waste calcining have phosphorus content close to its concentration in phosphoric raw materials. The results of analysis of various thermal technologies for processing of meat waste by means of a BATNEEC options are presented on the basis of an expert and quality evaluation. The highest score was given to technologies characterized by relatively low implementation costs, reduced material and energy consumption, safe for the environment and attractive in economic terms.
