STUDY ON THE PHYSICOCHEMICAL PROPERTIES OF ASH FROM DIFFERENT COAL FIRED POWER PLANT
The ash from two different coal fired power plants in Xuzhou were studied in four aspects including the granularity distribution, microstructure, mineral composition and chemical composition in this paper. The results showed that the similar granularity distribution was seen in the two power plants, and the content of granule under 20μm was more than 98%; but the particle morphology had distinct differences in the two plants, plant A had more irregular particles, while plant B had more spherical particles; the mineral composition differed from the relative content of mullite and calcium sulphate, it was related to the technology and coal used of power plant; and the primary chemical components of the particulate matter from the coal fired power plants were SiO2, Al2O3, Fe2O3 and CaO.
