Wear Mechanism of Coated Tool during High Speed Machining
A methodology based en high speed eutting experimental test and obtervatloDal methodi for analysing wear course of coated tool in milling cast iron and quenched and tempered 45 steel by coated cemented carbide inaerts is introduced. The applied eoatingi were TiCN and TiAIN films. The geometrical model of coated tool abrasion is offered and analyzed all possible abrasion morphology of coating. Stress distributed state graph and cane of temperature versus distance from cutting edge were obtained for analysis of coated tool wear mechanism. The milling Investigations were conducted at various cutting speeds and feed rates. Through analysis about the impact of catting speed and feed on roughness, a sufficient correlation of coatings impact resistance at various temperatures with their cutting performance at corresponding cutting speeds and feeds was revealed.
