Research on Estimation Method of Iteration Periods in Iterative Reengineering of Legacy Systems
In order to allocate resources and estimate costs so that provides evidence of decision in iterative reengineering of legacy system,because it is difficult to measure accurately the accomplishment of user requirements which are unsure,task accomplishment rate can be represented by the probability in which all user requirements can successfully be achieved in each iteration phase,in terms of reasonable hypothesis,an estimation method of iteration periods in iterative reengineering of legacy system is provided by the relation of new requirements and legacy requirements in adjacent phase of iteration. Furthermore,the time of development for whole legacy project can be achieved;resource allocation and cost estimating can be reasonably finished. The method is demonstrated with a set of practical data.
