Construction of Project-based Blended Learning in Professional English Course
It has been for a long time that the existing teaching model of professional English is scare of energy and inefficient. It hurts the learning passion and interests of students. This paper attempts to apply project-based blended learning to professional English course. Blended learning is based on advanced theories including constructivism,behaviorism and cognitivism. Under the direction of these three theories,26 types of teaching strategies are designed for the construction of blended learning environments for professional English course in colleges and universities. Based on a search for the present situation of students application of computer and Internet,feasibility of implementing project-based blended learning is analyzed. After studying characteristics of the curriculum and students psychological and intelligent characteristics,this paper proves the felicitousness of constructing project-based blended learning in professional English course. The project-based blended learning process model (PBLPM) is designed from time dimension and the project-based blended learning space model (PBLSM) is constructed from space dimension. At last,critical problems encountered in practice and the solutions are given.
