A STUDY ON LINEAR MALAY ROSIN ESTER
This paper mainly discusses the addition modification of rosin, as well as its conversion to a linear rosin polyester with polyol. The experiment employed a “step by step heating curve, thus improving the product’s quality, and it was easy to obtain linear polyester in a smooth reaction. Adoption of 0.4% SnCl2 charge as catalyst not only increased the reaction activity, but also prevented the product from being oxidized and becoming fuscous. The optimum pH number was 6.5. For the linear polyester, the proper blend ratio of compound retention reagent was as follows: the charge of Al2(SO4 )3 was 2.0% (based on pulp solids, latter is the same), the charge of CPAM was 0.04%, the charge of sizing reagent was 1.5%, and the charge of starch was 2.0%. Under these conditions, the sizing degree of handsheet reached 78s.
