EFFECT OF TEMPERATURE ON BOUND WATER CONTENT OF ACID PRECIPITATION LIGNIN
The lignin can be separated by acid precipitation from soda black liquor. Nowadays industrial lignin is taken from pulping black liquor mostly. The research on the change of lignin chemical properties in acid precipitation is useful for the study of molecular structural and further application of lignin. The experiment results show that the pH of the black liquor decreased exponentially with the increase on volume of sulfuric acid solution, and the amount of precipitation decreased in “S with the increase of pH. Acid precipitation lignin contained some bound water, and bound water content decreased with the increase of temperature or holding time. There was still as high as 79.5% in bound water when temperature was 70℃, and 75.4% when holding time was 3 h at 50℃. It could continue to decrease when the temperature was kept increasing or the holding time was prolonged, but it was gentle.
