STUDY ON BLEACHED CHEMI-MECHANICAL PULPING OF WHEAT STRAW
The two-stage bleached chemi-mechanical pulping of wheat straw is studied in this paper. The wheat straw pulp yield of CMP can reach more than 79.1%. The high yield pulp is bleached by chlorine dioxide first and by hydrogen peroxide subsequently. The results indicate that the optimum bleaching conditions are as follows: during chlorine dioxide bleaching stage, pulp concentration is 15%-20%, ClO2 rate is 1.5%-2.0%, and time is 20min at room temperature. During the hydrogen peroxide bleaching stage, pulp concentration is 10%~15%, H2O2 rate is 7%, temperature is 75~85℃, and time is 60min. In the optimum conditions, the pulp whiteness is higher than 72.53%ISO and tensile strength index 51.22 N·m/g, tear index 4.503mN·m2/g, burst index 2.121 kPa·m2/g respectively.
