STUDY ON THE ECF BLEACHING OF MULBERRY BRANCH KRAFT PULP

In this study, the elemental chlorine free (ECF) bleaching sequences of oxygen delignification (O), first-stage chlorine dioxide (D0), alkaline extraction (E) and second-stage chlorine dioxide (D1) were chosen to bleach the mulberry branch kraft pulp. The results showed that the optimum NaOH dosage in O stage was 4％ and the optimum ClO2 dosage in D0 stage was 1.5％. Finally, the pulp was bleached to a brightness of above 88％ISO through E stage with an addition of 1％ NaOH and 0.5％ H2O2 followed by D1 stage with an addition of 1.5％ ClO2.
