PREPRATION OF COMPLEX ClO2 SOLUTION AND AOX ANALYSES IN BLEACHING EFFLUENT
The characters of complex chlorine dioxide (ClO2) bleaching solutions prepared with sodium chlorate as raw materials under different reacting conditions were determined and the optimum reacting conditions were obtained as follows: the mole ratio of sodium chlorate to hydrochloric acid was 2:4, the reaction time was one hour and the temperature 60-80. The concentration of chlorine dioxide reached 10.2g/L, and the mole ratio of chlorine dioxide to chlorine reached 7.54. The mole ratio of chlorine dioxide to chlorine had more affection to the output of AOX than active chlorine content in bleaching solutions. The higher the mole ratio was, the less the AOX became.
