THE EFFECT OF METAL IONS ON HYDROGEN PEROXIDE BLEACHING OF BAMBOO SCMP
The effect of Mn2+, Cu2+ and Fe2+ on H2O2 bleaching of Bambusa Chungii SCMP was studied. It was found that Cu2+ decomposed H2O2 fastest, and H2O2 was decomposed slowest by Fe2+. However, Mn2+ had a higher catalyzing ability for decomposing H2O2 than the other two metal ions (Cu2+ and Fe2+) during the H2O2 bleaching, so these three kinds of metal ions should be eliminated during the bleaching process.
