STUDY ON THE CHARACTERISTIC OF WHEAT STRAW AND BAGASSE MECHANICAL PULP VIA HIGH CONCENTRATION REFINING

In this study, the wheat straw and bagasse mechanical pulp obtained by technology of twisting up and high consistency grinding under the material condition of being treated by alkali. The Morphology and thermal property of mechanical pulp were studied by optical microscope and TG. The physical properties were studied by handmade paper compound molding with chemical pulp. The results shows that compared with wheat straw pulp, bagasse has obtained a good dissociation and wheat straw mechanical pulp has better thermal property than the bagasse. The weight of wheat straw and bagasse has been reduced to 31.53% and 21.22%,respectively. Most of the physical property has obviously decreased while the stiffness increased firstly and then decreased except that wheat straw was refined twice. About the pulp refined once, the stiffness of paper-sheets additive bagasse reaches the maximum at 50% and 70% respectively. It reaches the maximum at twice refined wheat straw addition of 40%.
