THE APPLICATION OF MAE TECHNOLOGY IN ASH CONTENT DECREMENT OF BLACK LIQUOR FROM NS-AQ PULPING PROCESS
In this paper, the membrane-assisted electrolysis (MAE) was applied to decrease the ash content of black liquor from neutral sodium sulfite-anthraquinone (NS-AQ) pulping process. Some parameters which may affect the efficiency of ash content decrement in black liquor were investigated, such as the solids content of black liquor, alkaline liquor density, electrolysis voltage, electrode area and electrolysis time. The results showed that the effect of ash content decrement was obvious and alkali was recovered. The ash content decreased to 23.62% (or decreases by 9.22 percents) when the optimized conditions were as follows: waste liquor solid content 10%, alkaline liquor density 0.1mol/L, electrolysis voltage 8v, anode area 50 cm2, cathode area 99 cm2, electrolysis time 3 h.
