A STUDY OF CTMP WASTEWATER TREATMENT WITH A COMPOUND ELECTROCHEMICAL-BIOCHEMICAL METHOD
A compound electrochemical-biochemical(CECB) method was developed for the treatment of eucalyptus CTMP wastewater; meanwhile it was compared with a micro-electrolysis(ME) method and a coagulation method. The surface morphology of modified electrode, the zeta potential, temperature, density of metal ion and so on were investigated. The reaction mechanism of the compound electrochemical method was preliminarily discussed. The results showed that Ti/SnO2-Sb2O3-MnO2/PbO2 electrode had excellent electrochemical performance, and that the colloidal stability of the colored particles was easily destroyed by nascent metal ion complexes. The color and CODCr were removed efficiently by the co-processing of compound electrochemical and biochemical treatment. The result was significantly better than a normal coagulation method and a micro-electrolysis method.
