STUDY ON ADVANCED TREATMENT OF PULPING MEDIUM WASTEWATER WITH POTASSIUM FERRATE(Ⅵ)
In this paper, potassium ferrate is used in oxidation of pulping medium wastewater after biochemical treatment. The optimal pH and the best dosage of potassium ferrate are determined. And then a large number of residual Fe3+ is used in flocculation with suitable flocculant. During the experiment, mainly three kinds of flocculants are selected: polyacrylamide (PAM), polyaluminium chloride(PAC) and activated silicic acid(ASI). According to the experiment, the treatment efficiency of PAM is the best. After the wastewater is pretreatment by adding 60 mg/L potassium ferrate at pH=4, pH is adjusted to 8, and 1.5 mL/L PAM(concentration is 1‰) is added for flocculation. After the treatment, the COD is under 60mg/L, and the removal rate of COD reaches 48%, that agrees with the national first-order discharge standard.
