DEEP TREATMENT OF BAGASSE PULPING EFFLUENTS BY FENTON OXIDATION PROCESS
Effluents from the bagasse pulping process are usually hard to be treated by means of regular combination methods due to color maintenance based on hard degraded organics. Therefore, the present study focused on the deep treatment of effluents after traditional secondary treatment process by Fenton oxidation technology. Aiming at the effect of several major factors on Fenton reaction system, single factor experiment and the orthogonal experiments have been designed accordingly; the optimized reaction conditions are as follows: H2O2 dosage 21.35mmol/L, Fe2+ level 36.77mmol/L, pH value 3.73, the reaction time 40min; the significant order of factors influencing Fenton reaction system: pH value > Fe2+ addition> H2O2 addition > the reaction time. In addition, this study also analyzed and compared the UV-VIS absorbency of waste water samples before and after treatment. Meanwhile, we preliminarily discussed the reaction mechanism of Fenton oxidation on bagasse pulping refractory effluents based on the phenomena appearing in the experiments.
