FENTON OXIDATION POST-TREATMENT OF BAGASSE-PULPING EFFLUENT
Although the pulping wastewater had been treated by the anaerobic and aerobic system orderly, the treated water was still with high COD value, and the color was serious. The organics couldn’t be completely removed by microorganism. So, an advanced oxidation process needs to to be planned as a post treatment. In this paper, bagasse-pulping effluent was post-treated by Fenton oxidation. Some effects of Fenton, the relation between CODcr removal and the efficiency of Fenton oxidation were studied respectively. When the pH value was 3-4, the reaction lasted for 30 minutes and the consumption of FeSO4 and H2O2 was 5mmol/L respectively, and the maximal CODcr removal rate was above 90%. If the CODcr removal rate and Fenton reagent consumption increased, the efficiency of unit Fenton reagent were reduced.
