RESEARCH ON ANTI-CORROSION METHODS OF CARBON STEEL STORAGE IN WHITE LIQUOR
At present, corrosion problems exist to varying degrees in alkali recovery system in some domestic paper-making enterprises. The corrosion rate of carbon steel storage in 80℃ white liquor was measured by losing weight method, with white liquor provided by a paper mill in Henan. Electrochemical protection and corrosion inhibitor protection were adopted by measuring anodic polarization curve and cathodic polarization curve of carbon steel in 80℃ white liquor. The results showed that the corrosion rate of carbon steel was 0.431 mm/a. The anodic protection, cathodic protection and corrosion inhibitor protection can be applied. The protective effect of corrosion inhibitor was the best. The inhibiting efficiency of molybdate inhibitor was 96％. The life of carbon steel storage will be prolonged and it has no effect on paper process.
